A º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University choir director has been recognized by the Nebraska Choral Directors Association for his commitment to singers and choirs in the state.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University's Theta Chi Fraternity chapter has been recognized as one of the top chapters in the country.

The Gamma Phi chapter has been honored with the Howard R. Alter, Jr. Award for Chapter Excellence.

Shelley McHugh has been hired as the Director of Alumni Relations at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University.

Just a few weeks ago, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University student James Hamrick was rehearsing lines for the rock musical “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.â€�

The summer theatre opportunity in his native city of Houston, Texas, would add another experience to his already impressive resume.

But an interesting change of events has Hamrick changing his summer plans.

Five º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University students have each been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. The award will send each student overseas during the 2012-2013 academic year.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University’s Symphonic Band took a history lesson like no other they’ve taken.

"This will undoubtedly be an experience that our students will never forget," said º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ band director Sam Zitek.

On the 68th anniversary of D-Day, the band traveled to Normandy to commemorate the 1944 Allied Invasion and liberation of France.
