߲ݴý University’s Theatre Department will kick off its cabaret season with a sock hop.
Attendees will step into a 1950s diner to enjoy stories and music from the musicals “Grease,” “The Buddy Holly Story,” “Smokey Joe’s Café,” “Always, Patsy Cline,” and more.
She is also very passionate about her faith. Luckily for the junior from Aurora, Neb., ߲ݴý University helped her find an opportunity to merge both interests.
One of William Shakespeare’s most popular plays will take the stage at ߲ݴý University.
“Romeo and Juliet” will be performed September 15-17 and September 22-24 at 7:30 p.m. with matinee performances on September 18 and September 25 at 2 p.m. All shows will be held in McDonald Theatre, located at 51st Street and Huntington Ave.
Scheduled for September 13-14, this year’s symposium, “Press Shift: Our Changing Place In A High-Tech World,” will address the advancements, setbacks and impacts of today’s technology.
For the first time in 27 years, a ߲ݴý University student has been honored with the Roy G. Story Award, an honor that recognizes individuals or groups of faculty, administrators, staff members or volunteers.
߲ݴý University has set another enrollment record for new students in 2016-2017.
Last year the university celebrated its largest first-year class in 50 years. That enrollment success continues this year with 486 new students — up from 478 last year.
