º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University has an opening for a half-time (20 hours/week) Interlibrary Loan Specialist. This position is responsible for interlibrary loan (the sharing of materials between º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University and other libraries for the benefit of students, faculty, and staff) and for shipping, receiving and processing incoming/outgoing mail. The shift for this position will be between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, four hours per day Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Processes all interlibrary loan requests from students, faculty, and staff, including searching, formulating, and making requests. 
  • Processes interlibrary loan items received, including monitoring due dates and returning items to lenders. 
  • Processes all library materials lent to other libraries, including providing accessible copies and ensuring all º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ materials are returned. 
  • Retrieves and distributes library mail daily.
  • Supervises the receipt and distribution of all print serials.
  • Performs other work as assigned. 
Qualifications
  • College degree (A.A. or Bachelors) required.
  • Familiarity with software for ILL or ability to learn new software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, be detail oriented, and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Ability to work as part of team with excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students. 
  • Ability to demonstrate reference and research skills as well as clear writing skills. 
  • Ability to exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
