Employment Opportunity for the Position of Part-time Interlibrary Loan Specialist
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University has an opening for a half-time (20 hours/week) Interlibrary Loan Specialist. This position is responsible for interlibrary loan (the sharing of materials between º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University and other libraries for the benefit of students, faculty, and staff) and for shipping, receiving and processing incoming/outgoing mail. The shift for this position will be between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, four hours per day Monday through Friday.

- Processes all interlibrary loan requests from students, faculty, and staff, including searching, formulating, and making requests.
- Processes interlibrary loan items received, including monitoring due dates and returning items to lenders.
- Processes all library materials lent to other libraries, including providing accessible copies and ensuring all º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ materials are returned.
- Retrieves and distributes library mail daily.
- Supervises the receipt and distribution of all print serials.
- Performs other work as assigned.
- College degree (A.A. or Bachelors) required.
- Familiarity with software for ILL or ability to learn new software.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, be detail oriented, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work as part of team with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students.
- Ability to demonstrate reference and research skills as well as clear writing skills.
- Ability to exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
