The Integrative Seminar
by Meghan Winchell
The Integrative Seminar will help you navigate coursework and student life at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University. It’s a brief eight-week introduction to º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s Archway Curriculum and the student services you will use most often on campus.
Your Integrative Seminar professor will help you get to know your academic advisor and connect you with advising services. This course will introduce you to the Career Center, the Library, and the Cooper Center for Academic Resources. You will learn about the Archway Curriculum and trace your growth through reflections on experiential learning and skill development.
Best of all, you will take the course with other new transfer students and build relationships with them by sharing academic and personal narratives, your career plans, and your hopes for the future. Together, you will reflect on what you have learned so far, by connecting your prior education with your º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ education, and identifying what’s next.
This entry to º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ provides a foundation for you to make the most of your entire º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ experience.
Meghan Winchell is associate provost of integrative and experiential learning and professor of history.
