º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professorship of Mathematics, beginning August 2024. Prior to accepting the position, candidates will have the opportunity to discuss with the Provost the possibility of extending the duration to two years.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University is a liberal arts university of approximately 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students in Lincoln, Nebraska. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University places high value on personal attention to students. We seek candidates who have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching undergraduate mathematics. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ will not be offering international sponsorship for employment at this time.

Responsibilities

This position is open to all areas of specialization in Mathematics or Statistics. Faculty are expected to teach a variety of lower- and upper-level mathematics courses.

* Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mathematics or Statistics

* Evidence of effective teaching of a variety of mathematics and/or statistics courses

* Strong commitment to student-centered active learning and student engagement activities

* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents
