Master of Athletic Training

Post-baccalaureate graduate program starts May 2025

In May 2025, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University will offer a two-year post-baccalaureate graduate program for qualified students.

Students with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., exercise science) will be able to apply directly for admission to the MAT program. MAT graduates will become immediately eligible to take the board of certification exam.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ is a national leader for students passing the CAATE-BOC exam on the first attempt, which is required to be a certified athletic trainer. This success is the foundation for our 100% job placement record.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s athletic training undergraduates have built an outstanding 98% Board of Certification (BOC) exam pass rate in the past ten years. This is the exam that qualifies candidates to serve as certified athletic trainers.

Complete 12 rotations from 20+ partnering clinical sites, including colleges, high schools, sports medicine clinics and general clinics.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s professors are practicing clinicians who value hands-on learning. Our first-year cadaver dissection course gives valuable insights on the body. Choose a specialty certification, like manual therapy or CPR/AED instruction.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ partners with 45+ clinical practitioners, including a U.S. athletic trainer of the year, a Nebraska athletic training hall of famer and a national Athletic Training Association director.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ integrates research into every athletic training course. Attend state, district and national conferences and present your work on a national stage.

Professional recognition
